Installing Windows 7

Curiousity killed the cat and it might 'kill' my computer, but I decided to try this out...
Having a spare harddisk is a boon, no risks, right??
So I said goodbye to my Vista hard disk, saved it in a safe place and formatted my extra hard disk.
Downloading the ISO and getting the serial for the 32 bit RC version was easy and I skipped the installation instructions. I had read that it is easy to install and this was a test, so no instructions.
Well, it was easy AND fast. Took exactly 30 minutes to install (clean install, no upgrade). Then of course a few updates but all in all much less than an hour to get the PC up and running with Windows 7.
And it looks nice, with a few nice changes (like the four coloured dots that change into the Windows logo). So far so good. Now I will try to install the programs I usually use (not much, just Office and maybe Paint shop) and see what happens...

The start of a Blog

Weeellll... I had never thought I would have a blog, but here I am, writing my very first blog! And all because I wanted to become a member of a club and it seems you cannot be if you don't blog...

Windows 7 started this and I hope to find my way among the new features and maybe help other people who are new users of W7.

And I will probably talk about food in between the serious stuff. I am a recipe collector (meaning it does not mean I plan to make any of the recipes I collect) and my collection is growing slowly...

I will try to save this message and see what else I can do in this blog.
